Many actors of course serve long apprenticeships before they become stars, and this is a list of interesting match-ups during such apprenticeships, where films memorable for other reasons contain surprises a long way down in their credits. The stars concerned, at this early stage of their careers, usually have only minor roles, sometimes so small they could aptly be described as ‘blink and you’ll miss them’.
