Odd Man Out (Carol Reed, 1947): 74 Screenshots

People know Carol Reed (Oliver Reed's uncle, by the way) as the director of The Third Man (1949) but two years earlier he'd made a film just as good, an IRA story set in Belfast with James Mason modulating his beautiful Huddersfield accent to make it sound Irish. The story is fairly even-handed, showing the rational motivatiosn of both sides, and the brilliant black and white cinematography is by Robert Krasker.
