The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (Andrew Dominik, 2007). A really wonderful film (it may well be my favourite film of the last 10 years). Cinematography by Roger Deakins. With Brad Pitt, Mary-Louise Parker, Zooey Deschanel, Sam Shepard, Sam Rockwell and Jeremy Renner (all excellent) plus Casey Affleck, who is beyond excellent: he gives a towering, mesmerising performance.
